If you own a website, search engine optimization is a MUST! This is what helps your site within the search engines for rankings, content and help your site stand out. Do make sure you do not have dead links on your site.
Do optimize your images, and name your images keywords. For example, my pillow images on my website might be called 'pillow-covers' or 'decorative-throw'. I would not name them photos1, photos2, etc.
Do make your site interesting, and an enjoyable experiance for your visitors.
Do promote yourself using multiple platforms. Such as facebook, twitter, blog pages, discussion boards, post reviews/testimonials.
Do not forget to submit your site to the search engines for them to crawl your website and index your site into the search engine you want to be in.

Do not have broken images. Fix broken images and bad links quickly.
