My Pretty Pillows
“A room should never allow the eye to settle in one place. It should smile at you and create fantasy” – Juan Montoya
Simply one of the cutest ideas to add to your garden. This stacking pots project is so easy to do and the ideas are limitless on what you can put in your new topsy turvy planter. Everyone compliments and notices mine in my garden and it takes just minutes to set up!
Topsy Turvy Planter
My topsy turvy planter in my garden this year. I did flowers in my bottom pot, then lavender, then succulents in the top two pots.
Need:
Rebar rod
4 or 5 Terracotta pots in different sizes. (no worries if you have a couple big ones, just make those your bottom two pots to start, some people keep all their pots the same size as well)
Garden Soil
Your choice of what flowers, succulents, herbs you want in each pot.
How to Stack:
Fill your pots with your potting soil, take your rebar and put it in place in your garden, making sure it is down in the dirt good. Your rebar should be able to support all your pots and still be firmly in the ground, reaching all the way up to the top pot but not poking out of the top pot. When you set your first large pot you will have your pot at an angle tipped over looking. Play around with it, you can set next pot right inside other pot and then start tilting pots or have it sitting on edge like I have in picture (to the left)
Then take your largest pot and from the top put the rebar through the hole at the bottom of your pot and slide your pot all the way down. You will continue this with another large pot, or medium size till you stack up the smallest on the top. As you are stacking you will be easily see how you can adjust your pots. I like to put my flowers in AFTER and only fill with dirt first so I can play around with my finished look first and then after I add my flowers/herbs/succulents.
You can get creative and use other things for your pots, just drill a hole in the bottom! Get even more creative and paint your terracotta pots in bright colors.
I like hooking my little garden bugs to my topsy turvy pots too, or putting them on a garden rock.
I did not even know these were going to bloom into these little pink flowers below. Adore them! (pictures from my garden)
Super cute raised garden idea for flowers or herbs. Found this below on Amazon! There is multiple colors to choose from.

I am in love with this cute Etsy store DeMeyerWoodcrafts
A Father and Sons' Woodworking Shop
They have tons of cute handmade garden planters that I adore! I love the herb garden (pic on left) concept. I love having rosemary, parsley and other herbs on hand. Mint is great for summer gin cocktails! These are great for flowers, herbs & a veggie garden. I think they are perfect for growing lettuce as well.
The store has tons of 5 star ratings, over 6,000 sales, and awesome garden planters that are handmade. Hope you enjoy one of my favorite Etsy finds!
